Getting Started
Configuration 3 - Adding redundancy.
In this example,the following modules will be set up in a Redundancy Group.
ProCurve Wireless Edge Service zl Module (J9051A).
ProCurve Redundant Wireless Services zl Module (J9052A).
Note: For the optimal redundancy and protection, the preferred setup is for
the J9051A and J9052A to be installed in different chassis. However, these
modules may be installed in the same chassis.
1. Verify that the IP addresses for the two modules are in the same VLAN.
2. Select Network Setup> Redundancy Group > Configuration. On this
screen,
Enter the Interface IP for the J9051A module, and the Redundancy
Group ID number.
Select the Mode, ’Active’. This is the default mode.
Nominal setting are shown in this screen for the other settings:
Discovery Period, Heartbeat Period, Hold Period. For additional
information, refer to the Help menu, or the Management and
Configuration Guide for your ProCurve zl Module.
Select Apply to save the setting for this session.
This screen notes that the Redundancy state is currently
’Disabled’.
