Connectors
This section describes the different buttons, LEDs, and connectors on the
front panel of a module:
■ Module Shutdown button—This button will shut down the module. It
should not be used for this purpose. Instead, use the hypervisor utilities
to gracefully shutdown the guest VMs and host.
Caution A hard shutdown can introduce the risk of hard disk drive (HDD) file
corruption.
Note also that the shutdown button can be enabled and disabled using a
CLI command. See “Device Disable” on page D-6.
■ 10/100/1000T Front Panel Port—This port provides a direct connec-
tion to the SBM for management, typically in troubleshooting situations.
Traffic is not routed through this port beyond the module.
■ USB Port—This port is used to attach a USB device, such as a flash drive.
The USB device is then available on the headless server.
