Quick Tips
Detailed troubleshooting information for the module is available in its Instal-
lation and Getting Started Guide at www.hp.com/networking/support.
Some basic tips appear below:
The module fails to boot or the Module Status LED is not solid green
Caution Be patient. The module takes several minutes to boot initially, and you
must not interrupt this process.
Check the switch’s software version. It must be K15.05 or greater.
While the module is hot swappable, you must reboot the switch
before installing the XenServer host module in a slot that previously
contained a module of another type.
If the Module Status LED is off, or is not solid green, check the switch
log to see if any events are found for the module. Also, review
“Hardware Installation” on page 1-1
My module booted successfully (the Module Status LED is solid green)
but I don’t see the XenServer when I run the switch show services com-
mand.
The XenServer host module runs independently of the switch software
(unlike other ONE zl Module applications, it does not have an agent that
communicates with the switch). For example, a XenServer host module
has booted successfully in switch slot C. If you run a show services
command, you would see one of the following:
This message appears when there are no other services installed in the
switch chassis. The XenServer host module is independent of the switch
services, so it is not listed.
