Getting Started
First Steps
You can now connect to the ESXi host running on the module. Once you are
connected, HP strongly recommends that you:
Change the default password
Set the correct time on the ESXi host

This interface connects to your network and
carries management traffic. The
management interface is used to configure
the ESXi host using the direct console. It also
is used by vSphere Client.
By default, interface
vmnic1, an internal
10-GbE port on the switch backplane, switch
port <slot-ID>2,
is configured to receive an IP
address through DHCP. For more information,
see “Connecting to a Management Interface”
on page 2-3.

Local time NTP Client running An NTP Client is running, with no NTP Servers
set. Use vSphere to set required NTP Servers
