Installing ESXi Upgrades and Updates
Upgrading the ESXi host module using a CD/DVD requires a powered USB
CD/DVD drive or a powered USB hub between the module and a USB CD/
DVD drive. You also can upgrade your ESXi host using Update Manager in
vCenter or by using the vCLI.
