5. Click the Create New button to create a new SNMP community. The New SNMP Community
window is displayed.
6. Define the SNMP community settings.
a. For Community Name, type the community name. To simplify interaction with PCM+,
enter public. That is the default community name used by PCM+.
b. In the Hosts section, enter the IP address of PCM+. You can leave the Interface option
set to ANY (unless you have a particular reason for limiting your management station
to a single interface). If necessary, click Add to add an additional host computer.
c. In the Queries section, clear the Enable check box for the v1 protocol. (PCM+ does not
use v1.) Leave the port at the default value of 161.
d. In the Traps section, clear the Enable check box for the v1 protocol. Leave the ports at
their default values of 162.
e. Scroll down to the bottom of the window and click OK.
