The procedure covers only the setup of the UTM device for IPS operation. Configuring NIM’s
response to the threat is covered in “Step 3: Respond to Threats” on page 3-126.
To set up the UTM device as an IPS, complete the following steps:
1. Connect the network cables to the device.
2. Configure the firewall policy for each network path you want to monitor.
a. In the navigation bar, click the Firewall tab.
b. Click the Policy tab. The Policy window displays firewall policies in the order of
matching precedence for each source and destination interface pair.
c. Select a policy. Expand a policy to view its settings.
