Step 1: Establish a Policy
Task: Start Event Collection
Because NIM’s event collection is enabled by default and PCM+ displays events by default, you
probably do not have to take any action to have NIM begin to collect events. Just in case
someone has changed the default settings, however, you may want to verify that NIM is
collecting and displaying events.
To enable event collection or to verify that event collection is enabled, complete the following
steps:
1. Open the Agent Manager window by completing one of the following:
• Click Tools > Agent Manager.
or
•Click the Launch Agent Manager icon in the toolbar.

2. Click the NIM tab in the right pane.
