Initial Setup for HP ProCurve Manager Plus and
Network Immunity Manager
Install PCM+
This section describes how to install HP ProCurve Manager Plus (PCM+) 3.0, HP ProCurve
Identity Driven Manager (IDM) 3.0, and HP ProCurve Network Immunity Manager (NIM) 2.0
on a Windows Server 2003 server.
You can obtain the installation CD, which includes a 30-day trial version of PCM+, with
new ProCurve switches. You can also purchase PCM+ from a ProCurve solutions provider.
The first step in installing PCM+ 3.0 is to ensure that your system meets the system require-
ments for PCM+.
PCM+ Requirements
You must install NIM on the hardware-software platform that runs PCM+. In addition to NIM,
PCM+ can run other PCM+ plug-ins. You will be installing one of these plug-ins, IDM, for access
control. You can also install HP ProCurve Mobility Manager (PMM) for wireless network
management.
Table A-1 lists the minimum hardware requirements for PCM; Table A-2 lists the recommended
hardware configuration.
