6. Specify the software upgrading configuration items as described in Table 9 .

File
Click Browse to set the path to the system software image
file.
The file name must end with .bin.
File Type
Set the file type.
 Main—Used at the next startup
 Backup—Used when the main system software image is
inv alid.
If a file with the same name already
exists, overwrite it without any
prompt
If you do not select the option, the message "The file
already exists." appears when a file with the same name is
on the firewall card. You cannot continue the upgrading.
Reboot after the upgrade is finished
If you select this option, the firewall card reboots after the
upgrade is finished to v alidate the new system software
image.
7. Click Apply.
Upgrading from the BootWare menu
You can use the following methods to upgrade software from the BootWare menu:
 Using TFTP/FTP to upgrade software through an Ethernet port
 Using XMODEM to upgrade software through the console port
TIP:
Upgrading through an Ethernet port is faster than through the console port.
