Introduction
Testing the SNMP Communications
Before proceeding with the rest of the TMS zl Module configuration, you
should test that the SNMP communications between the module and PCM are
configured and operating correctly.
To test the SNMP communications:
1. Right click the module in the PCM navigation tree.
2. In the menu, select Device Access.
3. In the submenu, select Test Communication Parameters in PCM, and a Testing
Communication Parameters window is displayed.
SNMPv1/v2:
If you are using SNMPv2 for communications, you should see Success
under the SNMP Read Community and SNMP Write Community columns.
SNMPv3:
If you are using SNMPv3 for communications, you should see Success
under the SNMPv3 column.
If Failed is displayed in any of these columns, then there is a mismatch in
the SNMP configurations on the TMS zl Module and PCM. Correct the
mismatched configuration and retest the communications.
