Configuring a VPN on the HP TMS zl Module

• Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, and 7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) operating
systems’ native VPN clients
Before You Begin
Before you use NIM to configure VPN properties on your TMS zl Modules,
verify that you have properly discovered the modules in PCM+. (See the
instructions earlier in this guide.) You should also synchronize the TMS zl
Module’s properties to ensure that they are up to date.
Synchronizing TMS Properties
Synchronizing TMS Properties updates TMS zl Module properties in NIM with
the current properties from the selected TMS zl Module. Use Synchronize TMS
Properties to obtain the current attributes of a TMS zl Module manually. You
can select the specific attributes that you want to update, and you can also
synchronize multiple modules with one action.
1. In the PCM+ navigation tree, navigate to the correct level:
• To synchronize multiple modules, the TMS zl folder
• To synchronize a single module, the module’s name within the folder
2. You can initiate the synchronization in one of two ways:
• Right-click the folder or module name in the navigation tree and select
TMS - VPN > Synchronize Properties.
•Click the TMS-Synchronize Properties icon.
