Managing TMS zl Modules
Configuring High Availability Clusters
Modifying an HA Cluster
Use the Modify Cluster function to modify properties of an existing cluster
and device-specific properties of the members of the cluster. If no clusters are
known by the NIM TMS management, this menu item will be disabled. To
modify an HA cluster:
1. Synchronize the TMS zl properties of the Master module in the cluster.
See “Synchronizing TMS zl Properties” on page 1-17 for this procedure
and select the Master module from the cluster that you will modify. For
the properties to synchronize, select the entire System folder, as shown
in Figure on page 1-58.
2. Navigate to the Modify Cluster window by one of these methods:
Right-click the TMS zl folder in the navigation tree, select TMS-High
Availability from the menu, and select Modify Cluster.
Click the TMS High Availability menu button on a TMS tab's toolbar
and select Modify Cluster.
3. A popup appears cautioning you about the fact that both the Master and
Participant modules will be booted at the end of the cluster modification
process. Click Yes to continue with the process.
4. In the Modify High Availability Cluster window that appears, as shown on
the next page, click on the cluster to be modified.
5. As needed, change any of the parameters for the cluster and the modules
that are available in this window. The fields that are greyed out cannot be
modified. Be careful to enter the valid IP addresses and subnet masks.
6. Ensure that the changes you have made are correct and deploy the
configuration changes to the modules by clicking OK.
7. A progress window is shown. When the changes are completed, Completed
successfully will be shown for both of the modules. The changes will be
deployed on the modules once the modules are rebooted. It takes a few
minutes for the modules to reboot.
8. Click Close to close the progress window.
