isis peer-ip-ignore

Use isis peer-ip-ignore to configure the PPP interface not to check the peer's IP address in received hello

packets.

Use undo isis peer-ip-ignore to restore the default.

Syntax

isis peer-ip-ignore

undo isis peer-ip-ignore

The PPP interface checks the peer's IP address upon receiving a hello packet.

Usage guidelines

An IS-IS PPP interface requires the sender of a hello packet must be on the same network segment as it.

Otherwise, it discards the hello packet. You can use the isis peer-ip-ignore command to disable this

restriction.

Examples

# Configure Virtual-Template 1 not to check the peer's IP address in the received Hello packets.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] interface Virtual-Template 1

[Sysname-Virtual-Template1] isis enable

[Sysname-Virtual-Template 1] isis peer-ip-ignore

isis silent

Use isis silent to disable the interface from sending and receiving IS-IS packets.

Use undo isis silent to restore the default.
