Use undo allocate interface to reclaim a Layer 3 interface assigned to a VD.
Syntax
allocate interface interface-type interface-number
undo allocate interface interface-type interface-number
Default
All Layer 3 interfaces belong to the default VD. A non-default VD can use any Layer 2 interface in the
system but can use no Layer 3 interface.

Default command level
2: System level
Parameters
interface-type interface-number: Specifies a Layer 3 interface by its type and number.
Usage guidelines
A Layer 3 interface can only belong to one VD. Assigning a Layer 3 interface to a second VD equals
reclaiming the interface and assigning it to the second VD.
After being reclaimed, a Layer 3 interface belongs to the default VD.
Interfaces that are not assigned to non-default VDs belong to the default VD.
