Click Browse to set the path to the .bin system software
image file.
File Type
Set the file attribute:
 Main—The image is the primary image. The system
always attempts to load the main image at startup
in preference to the backup image.
 Backup—The image is the backup image. It is used
only if the primary image is corrupted or not
available.
If a file with the same name
already exists, overwrite it without
any prompt
If you do not select this option, you must make sure the
upgrade file uses a file name that is different from any
software file on the firewall module.
Reboot after the upgrade is
finished
If you select this option, the firewall module
automatically reboots to complete the software
upgrade.
7. Click Apply.
Upgrading system software from BootWare menus
You can use the following methods to upgrade software from BootWare menus:
 Using TFTP/FTP to upgrade software through an Ethernet port
 Using Xmodem to upgrade software through the console port
Upgrading through an Ethernet port is faster than through the console port.
Accessing the EXTEND-BOOTWARE menu
1. Power on the firewall module.
System is starting...
Press Ctrl+D to access BASIC-BOOTWARE MENU
Press Ctrl+T to start heavy memory test
Booting Normal Extend BootWare........
