Connecting the Network Cables

For any analog connections, use the cables that ship with the PCIe cards. Note that there are two different connectors on these cables,

a small handset-style connector, and a larger RJ11-style connector.

Warning

As indicated on the warning labels that are installed on the analog cards above the FXS ports, make sure that you don’t connect an FXS port to a

TELCO line. Damage to the equipment could result.

FXS Port Warning Labels

Plug the handset-style connector into the FXS or FXO port on the PCIe card.

Plug the RJ11-style connector as follows:

• For connections from FXS ports, plug in to devices such as phones and FAXes.

• For connections from FXO ports, plug in to the TELCO connection.
