Troubleshooting
Symptom / Solution
Symptom: When I try to register the hardware ID of a module at the HP
ProCurve Portal to get the activation license, the portal says Invalid hard-
ware ID. Why could this be?
Solution: Check if the switch that has the ProCurve ONE Services zl Module
has firmware version K13.71 or g
reater.
Symptom: When I t
ry to go to the Product OS context by keying the command
services c 2, I get an error that says Invalid Application. Why could this
be?
Solution: Check if the PCM+ Agent Module port 2 (<slot ID>2) is untagged
to the management VLAN (the VLAN whose IP address is used to access the
switch) and that port 1 is associated with any other VLAN.
Symptom: When I insert the USB key into the Module and execute the
command usb copyfrom PCM_Agent_J0000A_090803_1322, I get an error that says
file not available.
Solution: Make sure you have copied the PCM+ Agent Application image with
the correct relative path. The file in the USB should be in the path
/servicesimages/PCM_Agent_J0000A_090803_1322
Symptom: After installing the application, when I try to reboot the module to
use the Product OS by executing the command boot product, an error occurs.
The last entry in the switch Event Log related to the ProCurve ONE Services
zl Module is, Module D is rebooting and the show services command
does not report the module as being installed.
Solution: Make sure you have removed the USB key from the module before
issuing the boot product command.
Symptom: After installing the product and a license, when I try to boot to the
Product OS, I see an error that says something like Installed license
is not valid for the product installed.
