If you want to save such changes to permanent memory (startup-configuration), use the write memory
command in the switch console. This causes the switch to use the new hardware configuration for
subsequent reboots. (The switch always reboots from the startup-configuration.)
If you do not save the hardware changes to the startup-configuration, you will be prompted with the
following message the next time you use the boot or reload commands:
Do you want to save the current configuration [y/n] ?

Caution: Software Compatibility Required
This product requires software version 4.1.3.93. If your system is using software version 3.1.x, you
must install version 4.1.3.93 on any Access Control Server 740wl or Integrated Access Manager 760wl
in your network. It is recommended that any720wl devices in your network run version 4.1.3.93 or
later, however, a 720wl may run version 4.1.1.37 or later. The CD included in the box contains software
versions 4.1.3.93 and 4.1.1.37 and their documentation. See “Updating Your System Software” for
instructions on updating your software.
ProCurve Secure Access 700wl Series systems must run the same major release software version,
either 3.1.x or 4.1.x. Components using software version 4.1.x do not function in a system with
components running version 3.1.x of the software.
ProCurve Series 5300xl switches must use software version E.09.21 or later. This software and its
documentation are included on the CD that shipped with the module.
Determining the Current Software Version in Your Product
For the Secure Access 700wl Series products, use any of the following methods to view the current
software version:
■ Start a console session. At the prompt, enter the show version command. The resulting display
lists the current software version.
