Overview

Syntax: services <slot ID> name <services name>

Vertical bars ( | ) separate alternative, mutually exclusive elements.

Square brackets ( [ ] ) indicate optional elements.

Braces ( < > ) enclose required elements.

Angle brackets within square brackets ( [ < > ] ) indicate a required element

within an optional choice.

Angle brackets within angle brackets ( < < > > ) indicate a required element

within a required choice.

All italics indicate variables for which you must supply a value when execut-

ing the command.

Some commands also include keywords, which are indicated in the command

type. For example, name is a keyword for the services command.

CLI Help

The switch CLI provides help that displays command syntax, including expla-

nations of commands and command options. For example, the CLI help

provides several ways to display the options available in a particular context.:

■ ?

■ Tab key

To view the commands available at the global configuration context, you could

type one of the following:

hostswitch(config)# ?

hostswitch(config)#

[tab]

A list of commands available in that context would be displayed.

Steelhead Application Management Interfaces

The Steelhead Application includes two management interfaces:

■ CLI

■ Web browser interface
