Services OS Manager Context Commands
Services OS Manager Context
Commands
The Services OS manager context allows access to the Services OS of the
module, providing a limited number of commands. From this mode, you can
download and install software. CLI access to the Services OS is designed
primarily for blade maintenance, not for configuring the module.
The Services OS context is used to complete basic setup and maintenance
tasks. To access this context, enter the following command from the switch’s
manager-level or global configuration context:
For example, if you want to enter the Services OS for the Steelhead Applica-
tion in slots A and C, enter one of the following commands:
hostswitch# services c 1
hostswitch# services c name scvs-mod
To verify your location in the CLI, check the prompt. In the Services OS
manager context, the prompt is one of the following:
hostzlswitch(scvs-mod-<slot ID>:SvcOS)#
This is the prompt that is displayed if you have entered the Services OS
CLI and the Services OS is booted.
hostzlswitch(scvs-mod-<slot ID>:App)#
This is the prompt that is displayed if you have entered the Services OS
CLI and the ONE-App OS is booted.
The commands in this section are the Services OS CLI manager commands
with the Services OS booted.
(Until the module is booted in the Services OS, you can access a limited set
of commands, including boot, exit, and some show commands.)
Syntax: services <slot ID> < 1 | name scvs-mod>
Moves you to an OS context on the module.
Replace <slot ID> with the letter for the lower chassis slot in
which the module is installed.
The Services OS context is always assigned index number 1.
