Appendix: Command-Line Reference for the Services OS
Services OS Manager Context Commands
update
This command allows you to update the following:
■ ONE-App OS
■ Services OS
To perform the update, enter the following command:
Syntax: update < ONE-app | ServicesOS> <local <image> | usb <image> | remote
ftp <IP address> <image> [user <username>] >
You can update the OS from an image that has been copied or downloaded to
the module (local). Or you can update the OS from an image on a USB device.
You can also contact an FTP server and update the image from there.
For all of the options, replace <image> with the filename of the updated image.
For the ftp option, replace <IP address> with the address of the FTP server. If
the server requires authentication, type user and the username.
usb
The usb commands allow you to upload and download files to and from a USB
drive hardware device. Before you can transfer files to or from a USB drive
hardware device, you must mount the USB.
To mount the USB, enter the following command:
Syntax: usb mount
Once the USB has been mounted, you can see a list of the images on the USB:
Syntax: usb images
You can also copy files to and from the device. Enter the following command:
Syntax: usb < copyfrom | copyto <image name>] >
Replace <image name> with the filename of the image you want to copy.
When you have finished transferring files, you must unmount the USB before
removing it from the modules’ front panel. To unmount the USB, enter the
following command:
Syntax: usb unmount
