Hardware Installation
Update the Switch Software
6. Set the startup-config file for the secondary software:
hostswitch# startup-default secondary config
<filename>
For example:
hostswitch# startup-default secondary config config1
If you do not know the name of the config file that you are using, you can
use the help function to see the names of files on your system:
hostswitch# startup-default secondary config ?
7. Reboot the switch to the secondary software:
hostswitch# boot system flash secondary
8. When prompted to reboot the switch, press
[y].
9. When prompted to save the configuration, press
[y] again.
10. After the switch reloads, reestablish your management session. Then
enter this command to verify that the new software is running:
hostswitch# show version
You should see output similar to the following:
hostswitch: show version
