ProCurve J9308A Gig-T/SFP PoE+ zl Module
Notice that the output shows the Extended Services zl Module in slot C. Slot
A is an expansion slot for this module. For the purposes of the HP zl switch
CLI, the module is in slot C.
If the HP zl Switch does not recognize the Extended Services zl Module, ensure
that the switch is running software version K.14.58 or above. Enter:
hostswitch# show version
Note Software versions K.15.xx do not currently support the HP AllianceONE
Extended Services zl Module with Riverbed Steelhead RiOS Application.
Check the release notes of a K.15.xx version to determine if it supports this
product.
If the switch software needs to be updated, see “Update the Switch Software
on page 2-4 in Chapter 2: “Hardware Installation.
Internal Ports on the HP AllianceONE Extended
Services zl Module
The Extended Services zl Module is connected to the HP zl switch through its
two internal 10GbE ports. In the switch CLI, these ports are identified by the
slot in which the Extended Services zl Module is installed:
<slot>1
<slot>2
For the Extended Services zl Module (which uses two slots in the HP zl
switch), use the letter of the bottom slot. For example, if the Extended
Services zl Module is installed in slots A and C, the internal ports are C1 and C2.
Port 1 (<slot>1) is sometimes referred to as the interception port because the
HP zl switch sends intercepted traffic to this port.
