Getting Started
Configure the Steelhead Application
Activating the Token and Installing the Steelhead
Application Licenses
To activate the Steelhead Application, you need the token that is located on
the HP License Registration Card, which shipped with the HP AllianceONE
Extended Services zl Module. You will use this token to generate a license
request key and the Steelhead Application licenses.
You can generate a license request key using the Steelhead CLI or the Steel-
head Web browser interface. To use the CLI, continue with the next section.
To use the Web browser interface, see “Using the Web Browser Interface to
Activate the Token and Install the Licenses” on page 3-22.
Using the CLI to Activate the Token and Install the Licenses
To enter the token key and install a license using the Steelhead CLI, complete
the following steps.
Note If you did not receive the HP License Registration Card with your HP
AllianceONE Extended Services zl Module, contact HP Support.
1. If you are have already logged in to the Riverbed Application, continue
with Step 4.
Otherwise, access the HP switch CLI and enter the following command
to access the Steelhead Application CLI.
Hostswitch# configure
Hostswitch# (config) service <slot_ID> tech
Replace <slot_ID> with the slot in which the Extended Services zl Module
with Steelhead Application is installed.
For example, if the module is located in slot C, enter:
Hostswitch# (config) service c tech
2. Press Enter a couple of times until the Steelhead Application login prompt
is displayed.

3. Log in as the admin user. Enter the password you configured in the initial
setup. If you have not yet changed the default password, enter password.
