Monitor and Troubleshoot PSTN Connections
The Telephony Diagnostics section helps you to troubleshoot your PSTN
connections.

First, however, you should view the HP Media Gateway status in the
Services
section. If the gateway is stopped, certain diagnostics will not work; you cannot
view the channel status nor enable call logging. Click the service’s
Start
button
to bring the gateway back up. If this attempt fails, the gateway probably does
not have a valid configuration. You can check the routing rules (see “PSTN
Routing Rules” on page 3-11) or run the complete PSTN Setup wizard (“PSTN
Setup Wizard” on page 3-10). The Media Gateway also requires a valid certifi-
cate with an exportable private key (see “Update Certificates” on page 3-9).
Once the Media Gateway is up, you can use the links in the Telephony Diagnos-
tics section to monitor and troubleshoot.
