Troubleshooting
Implement a Loopback
Display Interface Driver Events
It is a best practice to open a command line window for monitoring activity
on the tested interface.
1. Open a command prompt, running the command as an administrator.
2. Enter this command:
stail.exe
Leave this window open throughout the rest of the process.
Put the Line into Loopback
Complete each task to put the line into loopback.
Open a Command Line. Open a different command prompt (again select-
ing Run as administrator). This enables you to monitor the process at the same
time that you implement it.
Check the Line. First, check the line status:
For example:
wanpipemon -i wanpipe1_if1 -c Ta
The display indicates alarms on the line. You cannot initiate a loopback or
BERT when there is a loss of framing (LOF) alarm.
Syntax: wanpipemon -i <interface ID> -c Ta
Replace <interface ID> with the ID that you determined ear-
lier.
