Implement a Loopback
Run BERTs
You are responsible for initiating and monitoring the BERT.
Enter this command to initiate a BERT:
Enter this command to check the results:
Enter this command to stop the BERT:
Take the Interface out of Loopback Mode
After you have finished testing the line, you must end the loopback.
Port Connected to Telco. You can either:
Ask the CO to end the loopback from its end.
Send a remote loopback end command:
For example:
wanpipemon -i wanpipe1_if1 -c Tsdlb
Port Connected to a Loopback Connector. Disconnect the port from the
loopback connector.
Syntax: wanpipemon -i <interface ID> -c Tsw_bert [--random| --ascendant | --
descendant]
Replace <interface ID> with the ID that you determined ear-
lier.
Select a random, ascendant, or descendent test.
Syntax: wanpipemon -i <wanpipe ID>_if1 -c Tsw_bert --status
Replace <wanpipe ID> with the ID that you determined ear-
lier.
Syntax: wanpipemon -i <wanpipe ID>_if1 -c Tsw_bert --stop
Replace <wanpipe ID> with the ID that you determined ear-
lier.
Syntax: wanpipemon -i <interface ID> -c Tsdlb
Replace <interface ID> with the ID that you determined ear-
lier.
