Introduction
Ensure that You are Ready to Complete the Setup Wizard

• A .pfx certificate/private key file

Caution Whoever generates the .pfx file must mark the key as exportable. Otherwise,
the Media Gateway cannot start and the installation will fail.
• Instructions on how you should request a certificate:
– Generate a request manually
– Request a certificate automatically (in which case you might need
another username and password)
Credentials for the user who requests the certificate only if you
have been told to use special credentials:

Your data center contact only needs to give you this file if the domain does
not use group policy objects (GPOs) to push the CA certificate to domain

This is the protocol that the gateway uses to listen for communications
from the Lync solution.

gateway when adding the SBM as a survivable branch appliance. Figure 1-
