Operator Context Commands
The Operator context features a limited number of commands that allow you
to see information about the SBM.
To access the Operator context, access the operator context of the CLI of the
HP zl switch in which the SBM is installed. Then enter the following command:
SBM Index and Name
To enter the CLI for the SBM’s ONE-App OS, you must either specify the
module’s product name or index number. The product name for the SBM is
always hp-sbm-branch.
The product index number is assigned to the SBM by the HP zl switch. This
index number varies, depending on whether or not any HP ONE Services zl
Modules are also installed in the host switch. The ONE Services zl Module is
a hardware platform that supports multiple products. (For a list of other
products that run on the ONE Services zl Module, visit the HP Web site at
www.hp.com/go/procurve.)
If there are no other types of ONE Services zl Modules installed in the switch,
the host switch assigns the SBM the index number 2.
If other types of ONE Services zl Modules are also installed in the switch, the
host switch assigns the SBM and each ONE Services zl product a different
index number, based on the order in which each one boots. For example, if
you install the SBM and boot it first, the host HP zl switch assigns it the index
number 2. However, if you install another ONE Services zl Module first and
boot it, the host switch will assign the product running on that module the
index number 2. If the SBM is installed next and booted, the HP zl switch will
assign it the index number 3.
Syntax:
services <slot ID> < <index> | name hp-sbm-branch >
Moves you to an OS context on the module.
Replace <slot ID> with the letter for the lower chassis slot
in which the module is installed.
Replace <index> with the index assigned to the SBM. If
you do not know this index, see the section below.
