11. For Transport, select the protocols that your data center contact told you
to use for the Media Gateway’s (PSTN gateway’s) listening protocol. In
Figure 2-37, the communications in question are marked with a 1. Valid
options for a Lync solution include:

This is the recommended setting for the sake of security because it
encrypts communication. (It is also the default setting for survivable
branch sites in the Lync Server topology builder.)

12. The default ports for the protocol are displayed next to the check boxes.
Only change these ports if your data center contact has told you to use
special listening ports. The setting must match the PSTN server’s listening
port as defined in the Lync topology.
