PSTN Configuration
The table displays the correct mask for two use cases. For more informa-
tion about outbound masks, see “Background Information on PSTN Out-
ward Number Masks” on page 2-57 at the end of this section.

20. If your PSTN carrier has told you that it requires a prefix to be appended
to dialed numbers, type that prefix in the PSTN Outbound Number Prefix
field. Otherwise, leave the field empty.
21. For Country Code, type the correct code for your location.
22. Click Next.

23. It is recommended that you leave both check boxes selected:
• Automatically start gateway at startup—The Media Gateway starts auto-
matically when the SBM boots up. If you clear this check box, you
must manually start the gateway through the Dashboard when the
SBM reboots.
• Automatically restart gateway in case of failure
In other words, the Media Gateway automatically restarts if the Media
Gateway (not one of its lines) undergoes an abnormal failure.
