Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)
3. Log in to Windows:
hostzlswitch(hp-sbm-branch-C)# windows Administrator
When prompted for a password, enter the password that you set for the
local Administrator.
Alternatively, you can log in as a domain user:
hostzlswitch(hp-sbm-branch-C)# windows <domain user>
When prompted, type the user’s password.
4. Activate the remote desktop:
hostzlswitch(hp-sbm-branch-C:win)# remote-desktop
To disable the remote desktop, enter this command:
hostzlswitch(hp-sbm-branch-C:win)# no remote-desktop
Use the Remote Desktop
All typical Windows tools are available from the Remote Desktop. A few of
these tools are briefly discussed in the sections below. This information is
intended to give you an idea of some of the tasks that you can complete and
is in no way intended as comprehensive. Refer to Microsoft documentation
for information about managing Windows Server 2008 R2.
Whatever task you perform, it is best practice to run all commands and
programs as an administrator. For example, CS commands must be run as an
administrator. Therefore, when you open the Lync Server Management Shell,
right-click and select Run as administrator.
