Implement a Loopback

Initiate the Local Loopback. You must now start the loopback. The pro-
cess depends on how the port is connected.
Port Connected to the Telco. You can initiate the loopback in one of two
ways:
Ask the carrier to enable remote loopback on its end.
Send a remote loopback command (this requires the interface to be the
master clock):
Port Connected to Another E1/T1/J1 Port. You can either:
Enable loopback on the second port (see “Implement a Remote Loop-
back” on page 6-18).
Send the remote loopback command from the first port (the one being
tested)
Port Connected to a Loopback Connector. You can move to the next
task.
Syntax: wanpipemon -i <interface ID> -c Tsalb
Replace <interface ID> with the ID that you determined ear-
lier.
