Domain Administration
Domain Administration
This section describes the tasks that a member of the Domain Admins group
must complete to ready the domain for an SBM deployment. These steps must
be completed before the CS Administrator adds the SBM to the Lync Server
topology.
Verify Your Groups
First, ensure that your domain has the correct CS and RTC groups, which
should have been added to the domain with the deployment of Microsoft Lync
Server 2010.
Add the SBM Computer Object to the Domain
Next, you must add the SBM computer account to the domain. Make sure that
RTCUniversalSBATechnicians are allowed to join the SBM to the domain. Also
communicate the SBM’s hostname to the CS Administrator, who will need to
specify the SBM’s FQDN when adding it to the Lync Server topology.
