Software Management CAUTION: First Time Power On Software Management CAUTION: First Time Power On The Hard Disk Drive of the HP Survivable Branch Communication zl Module powered by Microsoft Lync™ (SBM) must be initialized at first power on. This will take approximately 15 minutes. If the module is removed or if the switch chassis is rebooted during this time, hard disk corruption will likely occur. Once this initialization is complete, it will not need to occur again during normal operation.
Software Management Supported PCIe Cards for the SBM Supported PCIe Cards for the SBM Only HP supported PCIe cards may be used in the SBM. Installation of other PCIe cards in the SBM violates the terms of the HP Warranty. The following represent the only currently HP supported PCIe cards for use in the SBM.

To resolve, temporarily set the mode to DISABLED and save changes, then set the mode back to MANUAL and re-save. The service should now start. (Known issue CR #55162) You may have to change the RDP connection to allow a local drive to be accessible.
Software Management Version 1.1.19.0 Update 4. You must allow the installation program to make changes to the SBM computer. Click Yes. 5. A status message is shown during the update. 6. A successful update results in a confirmation message. Click OK. 7. When the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart the SBM. Click Yes. 8. You can use a CLI connection or RDP to confirm the software version.

Version 1.00.2.00 The following problems are known issues as of Version 1.00.2.00. ■ PR_55182 — If internal Ethernet interface 2 on the SBM is disabled, it will be automatically re-enabled due to the need of in-band HP proprietary communication between the switch chassis and the SBM.

Known Issues Version 1.1.19.0 ■ CR_1423, PR_66794 - In a Microsoft Active Directory forest with two domains, A and B, a user in domain A cannot join an SBM to domain B. ■ CR_1424, PR_66796 - The following processes request user or computer principal names: WebUI logon, Domain join (user's account), Domain join (computer account), or the Command Line Interface logon via the Switch.
