Software Management
Version 1.1.19.0 Update
Note This is a custom setting, the factory default is DISABLED. To resolve, temporarily set the mode to
DISABLED and save changes, then set the mode back to MANUAL and re-save. The service should now
start. (Known issue CR #55162)
You may have to change the RDP connection to allow a local drive to be accessible.
If the drive hasn’t been allowed access to the SBM previously, there will be a message to confirm that you trust the remote
connection, select Connect.
Follow these steps to install the update:
1. You must run this as an administrator. If you do not, you will be prompted to enter administrator credentials.
If you do not enter administrator credentials, the Remote Desktop connection will be terminated.
2. Log in to the SBM via RDP.
See “Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)” section of Chapter 3: “Manage and Monitor the HP SBM Locally” in the HP
Survivable Branch Communication zl Module powered by Microsoft Lync™ Administrator’s Guide.
3. Obtain the latest software zip file. It should contain these Release Notes and an executable file with a filename similar to
HP_SBM_J9485A_Setup_1.x.x.x.exe. Copy the .exe file to a:
• Local drive
• USB device in the desktop
• USB device in the SBM module’s USB slot
• Shared network folder to which the SBM has access
