Initial Setup in Routing Mode
Configure Management Access

Table 2-10. Services Permitted from Self to a Management-Access Zone
4. Click Save.
Note If you clear the check box for the zone from which you are currently connected
to the module and click Apply My Changes, you will lose connectivity from the
Web browser interface. Once disconnected, you will need to reconnect to the
module from a zone that has management access enabled, or you will have to
access the CLI in a serial session to enable management access from at least
one zone.
Priority VLAN
When you select a priority VLAN, management traffic from that VLAN to Self
is guaranteed a connection. Typically, the priority VLAN should be in a
management-access zone. However, when connection limits have been
reached and CPU cycles at maximum, you should be able to reach the module
through the priority VLAN, regardless of whether it is in a management-access
zone.
1. From the Priority VLAN list, select a VLAN to be given priority over all other
VLANs.
2. Click Apply My Changes.
3. Click Save.
Configure the Default Gateway
The default gateway is typically an external router but can also be the host
switch or a core switch.
