Configure SNMP Traps
SNMP traps are unsolicited messages that are sent by managed devices to alert
you about specific events. For example, you can use PCM+ to manage the
TMS zl Module by specifying PCM+ as a trap destination.
The TMS zl Module supports the standard MIB-II, the IF-MIB, and a proprie-
tary MIB that is particular to the operation of the TMS zl Module.
Note If you configure SNMP traps from the PCM+ interface instead of from the
TMS zl Module interface, the module will send only the MIB-II and IF-MIB
traps to the PCM+ server, not the proprietary MIB traps. The proprietary MIB
can be found in the help files on the module.
To configure SNMP traps, select System > Logging and click the SNMP Traps tab.

To enable SNMP traps, do one or both of the following:
Select the Enable SNMPv2 traps check box.
Select the Enable SNMPv3 traps check box.
To add an SNMPv2 trap destination (such as PCM+), complete the following
steps:
1. Under Enable SNMPv2 traps, click Add another destination. The Add SNMPv2
Destination window is displayed.
