System Maintenance
It is recommended that you frequently save the startup configuration to a hard
drive so that you can restore it to the TMS zl Module if the running configura-
tion becomes corrupted or unusable for any reason.
When configuring settings:
■ Click Apply My Changes and similar buttons to save changes to the running
configuration.
■ Click Save, located in the top right corner of the Web interface, to save
the running configuration to the startup configuration.
Back Up and Restore System Configuration
The TMS zl Module allows you to save your current startup configuration to
an external drive. It also allows you to restore the system to the factory settings
or a previously saved configuration.
Back Up the Startup Configuration
To back up the current startup configuration:
1. Select System > Maintenance > Back Up/Restore.
Figure 3-37. System > Maintenance > Back Up/Restore Window
2. Click Back Up and follow the prompts to save the startup configuration
file to a selected directory. If possible, it is best to name the configuration
file after the date on which it was saved. For example, if the configuration
was saved on November 03, 2009, name it 2009-11-03.cfg.
