Note The saved configuration file is encrypted. If you need to analyze the saved
configuration, contact HP ProCurve technical support.
Restore to a Previously Saved Configuration
To restore the module to a previously saved startup configuration:
1. From the System > Maintenance > Back Up/Restore window, click Browse.
2. Navigate to the saved configuration file and double-click the file to select
it.
3. Click Restore and Reboot. The module will reboot and load the startup
configuration that you selected in step 2.
Erase the Startup Configuration
You can erase the startup configuration. This action erases the configuration
changes that you have made since the software was installed, while allowing
you to keep your IDS/IPS signatures.
You can erase the startup configuration from two places:
■ Web browser interface
■ CLI Product OS
If you are unable to access the Web browser interface, you can use the CLI
Product OS to restore the module’s IP settings. If you are unable to access
either the Web browser interface or the CLI Product OS, you must uninstall
and reinstall the module. For more information, see “Restore to Factory
Default Settings” on page 3-56.
Erasing the Startup Configuration from the Web Browser Interface.
To restore the module to the factory default configuration:
1. Select System > Maintenance and click the Erase Startup-Config tab.
