IP Reassembly
Configuring IP Reassembly
The default settings for IP reassembly are in Table 4-8. Consult the product
literature for your routing devices to see the optimum settings for your
network.

To configure the IP reassembly settings, select Firewall > Settings and click the
IP Reassembly tab.

To disable IP reassembly, clear the Enable IP reassembly check box. To adjust
reassembly parameters, type the preferred parameters in each field.
Guidelines:
If the Maximum Packets Allowed, Maximum Packet Size, Maximum Fragments
per Packet, or Maximum Fragment Size limits are set too low or too high,
memory will be depleted too quickly and performance will suffer.
If the Maximum time to receive all fragments limit is set too low, standard
network latency may cause the transfer to be abandoned too soon.
Conversely, if the limit is set too high, the device will wait too long before
reporting missing packets, which will degrade performance.
Click Apply my changes, and then click Save.
