Global Configuration Context
To assign a VLAN to a zone, enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] vlan <VLAN ID> zone <zone> [allow-switch-ip]
Note You cannot delete a VLAN association if DHCP relay or routing is enabled on
the VLAN.
Replace <VLAN ID> with the VLAN ID.
Replace <zone> with the zone to which you are assigning the VLAN. Available
zones are:
■ self
■ internal
■ external
■ dmz
■ zone1
■ zone2
■ zone3
■ zone4
■ zone5
■ zone6
The allow-switch-ip options allows the switch to also have an IP address on
this VLAN.
To assign VLAN IP settings, enter the following command:
Syntax: vlan <VLAN ID> ip address < dhcp | <IP address/prefix length> >
Replace <VLAN ID> with the VLAN ID.
Replace <IP address/prefix length> with the static IP address and prefix
length of the VLAN.
Note A VLAN is automatically set to DHCP until you specify a static address.
To enable IGMP on the VLAN, enter the following command:
Syntax: vlan <VLAN ID> ip igmp
Replace <VLAN ID> with the VLAN ID of a TMS VLAN.
