Global Configuration Context
To enable multicast routing on the VLAN, enter the following command:
Syntax: vlan <VLAN ID> ip pim-sparse
Note Enabling PIM on a VLAN automatically enables multicasting. If you do not
intend to enable multicasting, you must access the Web browser interface and
disable multicasting once you have enabled PIM on a VLAN.
Replace <VLAN ID> with the VLAN ID with the ID of a host switch VLAN.
With this command you enter the PIM context of the VLAN context. The
prompt is ProCurve(tms-module-<slot ID>:vlan-<VLAN ID>-pim-
sparse)#.
■ Assign a DR priority for the module on the VLAN.
To assign a DR priority for the module on the VLAN, enter the following
command:
Syntax: dr-priority <priority>
Replace <priority> with the priority of the TMS zl Module during DR
elections.
