Services field
The IP header field (DS) that is used as a codepoint to select the PHB.
Diffie-Hellman
group
Determines the length of the base prime number used during a Diffie-Hellman
key exchange.
Diffie-Hellman key
exchange
A key exchange method that generates the actual keys during the second
exchange of IKE phase 1. The Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement Protocol is a
secure method for generating unique, shared keys without sending them over
the connection, which would render them vulnerable to interception.

Dijkstra’s
algorithm
A routing algorithm developed by Dutch computer scientist Edsger Dijkstra
that allows routers to generate a routing tree with itself as the root. So all
routes on the tree are the shortest path between the router and the destination
node.

DMZ Demilitarized Zone. A zone that is logically between the INTERNAL and
EXTERNAL zones; it usually contains public Internet services.
DN Distinguished Name. The ASN.1 name that is associated with a certificate.
DNS Domain Name System. A protocol that translates between a human-readable
address (www.example.com) and an IP address (10.1.2.15). Translation is
performed in both directions.
