Troubleshooting Problems with the Installation and Boot Process
■ If the TMS zl Module is not listed, check the switch software
version.
If the show services command does not list all the TMS zl Modules that are
installed in the switch, ensure that you are running a version of switch
software that supports the TMS zl Module (K.13.55 or above).
You may also find the following commands useful for troubleshooting
from the switch:
hostswitch# show modules
hostswitch# show logging
■ If only the Services OS is listed, you may need to boot the module
to the Product OS (TMS OS).
In the following example, two TMS zl Modules are installed in the switch:
hostswitch# show services
Installed Services
Slot Index Description Name
C,E 1. Services zl Module services-
module
C 2. Threat Management Service tms-module
This output indicates that the TMS zl Module in slot C is booted to the
Product OS, but the TMS zl Module in slot E is booted to the Services OS.
When a module is booted to the Services OS, you cannot configure TMS
zl Module features. To boot a module to the Product OS, enter these
commands:
hostswitch# services <slot_ID> 1
hostswitch(services-module-E:HD)# boot product
After you enter these commands, you are returned to the switch’s CLI. You
can then enter the show services and repeat switch commands to monitor
the progress of the boot process:
hostswitch# show services <slot_ID>
hostswitch# repeat
