Global Configuration Context
Replace <IP address> with the IP address of the SNMPv2 server.
Replace <community> with the name of the SNMPv2 community.
For example:
ProCurve(tms-module-<slot ID>:config)# logging snmpv2
enable
ProCurve(tms-module-<slot ID>:config)# logging snmpv2

logging snmpv3
SNMP traps are unsolicited messages that are sent by managed devices to alert
you about specific events.
To configure SNMPv3 traps, type the following commands:
Syntax: [no] logging snmpv3 enable
This command enables SNMPv3 forwarding.
Syntax: [no] logging snmpv3 <IP address> user <username> auth [md5 | sha] <authen-
tication passphrase> privacy [aes | des] <privacy passphrase>
This command specifies the SNMPv3 user to which you are forwarding logs.
Replace < IP address> with IP address to which the module will forward logs.
Replace <username> with SNMPv3 user that the module will forward logs to.
Replace <authentication passphrase> with SNMPv3 user’s authentication pass-
phrase.
Replace <privacy passphrase> with SNMPv3 user’s privacy passphrase.
For example:
ProCurve(tms-module-<slot ID>:config)# logging snmpv3
enable
ProCurve(tms-module-<slot ID>:config)# logging snmpv3
