Product OS Show Commands
To view the local logging information, enter the following command:
Syntax: show logging local [reverse] [filter options]
This command will display the local log with the most recent first. Optionally,
enter reverse to display the most recent log last.
You can set filter options for refining the logging information that is displayed
by typing additional keywords at the end of the command. You can specify
several combinations of the extended options shown in Table A-50, and you
can enter the options in almost any order.

To view whether other types of logging is enabled and, if so, the settings, enter
the following command:
Syntax: show logging < syslog | email | snmpv2 | snmpv3 | threshold >
Choose the option for the type of logging that you want to view.
show management
In monitoring mode, this command shows the management VLAN and IP
address.
In routing mode, this command lists all of the management-access zones.
Extended Command Option Purpose
filter id <message ID> Returns only the local logs with the specified message ID
filter search <search string> Returns only the local logs that include the specified search
string
filter severity < critical | major |
minor | warning | information>
Returns only the local logs with the specified severity
filter sip <source IP address> Returns only the local logs with the specified source IP
address
filter dip <destination IP
address>
Returns only the local logs with the specified destination IP
address
filter date-time in-range
<start> <end>
Returns only the local logs within the specified time/date
range.
Enter the <start> and <end> dates and times in the following
format (including the quotation marks):
“YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS”
Also, enter the time using the 24 hour clock format. For
example, 1:00 pm should by entered as 13:00:00.
