Configure Management Access
Option 2. Alternatively, you can access the Product OS context by specify-
ing the product name for the TMS zl Module. This name never changes. Enter
the following command from either the switch’s manager-level or global
configuration context:
For example, if you want to enter the Product OS for a TMS zl Module that is
installed in slot C, enter:
hostswitch# services c name tms-module
You can now set up management access on the TMS zl Module so that you can
begin to configure the product’s features.
Configure Management Access
This section explains how to configure management access on the TMS zl
Module, as well as how to navigate the modules Web browser interface.
Configure Initial Settings
Before you can access the Web browser interface and begin configuring the
TMS zl Module, you must configure some initial settings. Specifically, you must
access the CLI and complete these tasks:
Set the operating mode to monitor.
Specify a management VLAN. (The default is VLAN 1.)
Set a static IP address for the VLAN.
Set a default gateway for the module.
To configure these settings, follow these steps:
1. You should be at the manager context of the TMS zl Module Product OS.
(See “Access the TMS zl Module Product OS Context” on page 3-21.)
Syntax: services <slot ID> name tms-module
Moves you to the product OS context on the module.
Replace <slot ID> with the letter for the chassis slot in which
the module is installed.
