Initial Setup in Monitor Mode
Configure Management Access
Whichever choice you make, the TMS zl Module reboots in the new operating
mode with the last configuration made for that operating mode. If the module
has not been configured in this operating mode before, it is booted at the
factory default settings. To learn how to set up the module for management
access in the new mode, see:
■ “Initial Setup” on page 3-7 of Chapter 2: “Initial Setup in Routing Mode”for
routing mode
■ “Configure Initial Settings” on page 3-23 for monitor mode
Change the Passwords
To protect your network, ProCurve Networking strongly recommends that
you immediately change the passwords for the manager and operator
accounts.
Note Complete this task even if you plan to use RADIUS authentication for admin-
istrators because the local accounts remain active whether RADIUS authen-
tication is enabled or not.
To configure new passwords for local management users, follow these steps:
1. Click Network > Authentication and click the Management Users tab.
